HOW IT ALL BEGAN
The name Krasnaya comes from Krasnaya Ploshchad meaning Red Square. The word originally also meant 'beautiful', which perfectly describes Russian Matryoshka.
We are a small Company founded initially on a love of Matryoshka, which began many years ago on a trip to Russia. Anyone who has seen the row upon row of beautiful designs can't fail to fall in love.
As craft lovers we were eager to try our hand at decorating our own, using traditional painting techniques and applied decoration. It is a very rewarding hobby that any age can enjoy, from small children to the more mature adult. As soon as we have decided what to do on a Matryoshka, we want to finish it to get on with the next exciting idea!
THE COMPANY NOW
Krasnaya is a Company always on the lookout for fresh ideas as well as a new take on existing
products. Since designing our unique Painta Pets range of paint-your-own nesting animal kits in 2009 we have regularly added new craft kits to ensure our stockists always have something new and unique.
Alongside the Painta Pets selection of craft kits we have recently launched the Meltaway range of handmade EcoSoy wax melts. The products, including the packaging, are all eco friendly, offering 'Luxury with a Conscience'.
Each gift set carries the ‘Meltaway seal of quality’.
We aim to ensure all our products have something different to offer and are of the highest standard.
